The photography world is simply beautiful. As a photographer, I have the pleasure of capturing people in some of the happiest and most exciting times in their life. Also, I have the privilege to be apart of a community of photographers who actively support each other's growth and success. The photography community is full of people who strive to capture life as a true masterpiece. Overtime, I have come to realize that no photographer is the same. Each photographer has their own style and vision that distinguishes themselves from others. The most amazing part of it all is how supportive and excited photographers are to help one another reach their full potential.
One of my favorite things to do is go to coffee dives (like Buddy Brew), meet with different photographers and talk straight photography. The subjects range from film, cameras, lenses, picture ideas - the list is endless. Every time I meet with a photographer, I learn something new, even if their photography style and type differs from my own.
This past week I had the pleasure of meeting with Gianna at Buddy Brew. She is an incredible photographer who is as eager as I am to learn as much as she can about this art. Her and I ended up having a scary similar music taste, so while we got lost talking about photography, we also went on an hour tangent about bands like Beach House and Fleet Foxes. As expected, when photographers meet up, they take pictures, so after getting kicked out of Buddy Brew when it closed at 7pm, we found amazing walls outside to pose in front of, capturing the golden hour perfectly. I loved her creativity and excitement for photography. Everyone go check out her work on Instagram @giannerrrz , it's all so cool!
If you are a photographer, interested in photography or just want to grab coffee, let's meet up! I'm always excited to meet new people :)
